What Dwells in the Deep continues the adventures of the Transformers and their Terran siblings. They go to a cave for the special water to heal their malfunctioning tech only to run into decepticons and a beast from space.
The action is all in quick succession, with just a few sentences per page, making it good for young readers. The illustrations were dark due to them being in an underground cave. However, since young readers and pre-readers rely on the illustrations, their darkness makes it difficult to tell the difference between the good and bad Transformers. Fans of the cartoon who know all about the characters will likely find this a great addition to the story.
