Forever Fairies is filled with sparkly lighthearted events and strong themes of friendship. This is the fourth book of the series and there are many references made to past events. The events are described enough I could follow along, but a young reader would enjoy it more reading from the first book because the world-building is not explained well by this book.
Zali and her friends have been undergoing trials to find out where they will focus their studies and so far, Zali has done well, but has not found her special talent. She must work on building her self-confidence. With the support of her friends, she discovers she is amazing at singing and finds her special place.
The chapters are longer with fewer illustrations making this book ideal for second and third-grade readers. The fairy world is light and sparkly with fun names like Sparkleberry and strong friendships with few setbacks making it a fun read. This book would be a good read-alike for fans of Tinker Bell, Star Friends, and Dragon Girls.
