ALL ABOUT MERMAIDS is a well-illustrated book and is exactly what the title implies. But this isn't the typical mermaid book you stumble across. This one focuses on the "truth" behind the myths of mermaids. It talks about how they're real, even though we can't see them, and they can be found all over the world.
The illustrations are vibrant and the colors immediately catch your eye. The author talks about the anatomy of a mermaid and even talks about how children are called whelps. I'd never heard that term before and thought it was interesting. Another interesting this is how they sleep floating, usually with whales.
Final Verdict: Young mermaid fans will be entranced by ALL ABOUT MERMAIDS and will want to read it again and again. It's a unique read that is portrayed as a nonfiction book rather than fictional one.
