A great book for beginning readers.
Paddington has never been to the beach before so when his family decides to go, he packs everything he has. He's very excited when they get there and he can swim and build a sand castle. Only when he falls asleep does it all get messy and he's carried out to sea.
It's a kids book so there isn't much more to it than that. The story is very cute and I can see kids loving it, especially ones who are obsessed with the beach. He does everything there that they'd want to.
The sentences are short and precise, perfect for kids who are learning to read. They can easily sound out the words without getting overwhelmed and they'll stay entertained by the story while doing it.
Paddington has always been a cute series and this one takes the cake. Children and parents alike will not be disappointed.
